Ngo Tran Hieu Minh

1.8B VND Scholarship - University of Toronto

🎓 Ngo Tran Hieu Minh – Student at Hanoi–Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, Wins a 1.8-Billion-VND Scholarship from the University of Toronto (#1 in Canada) “Starting my study abroad journey in Grade 10, I was initially overwhelmed by the study plan, career choices, and how to build a suitable application profile. The University of Toronto is Canada’s top university, and its application process is complex, with many steps requiring meticulous preparation. After coming to IvyPrep, I was given a clear roadmap for each stage of the application, guidance on essay writing, and strategies for effective communication with the school,” Minh shared. Thanks to the dedicated support from the IvyPrep team and his own perseverance and initiative, Minh successfully secured a prestigious scholarship worth 1.8 billion VND from the University of Toronto (#1 in Canada). Reflecting on the application journey, Minh summed it up in three words: Complex – Exhausting – Streamlined. From carefully selected extracurricular activities to a well-crafted personal essay developed with the guidance of IvyPrep Advisors… all contributed to helping Minh create an outstanding application that saved time while remaining polished and persuasive. Minh’s advice for students applying to study in Canada: “Research thoroughly about the schools you want to apply to, as each has different requirements and conditions. Find a truly reputable counseling center, because for Canada in particular, it’s impossible to handle all the school’s requirements on your own without feeling overwhelmed. You should also put in the effort, be persistent, and most importantly, don’t be afraid to challenge yourself.”

Pham Thi Ngan Giang

4.5B Scholarship - University of Richmond

“At that moment, I was overwhelmed with joy. The University of Richmond — a school I considered to be beyond my reach. But thanks to the support of Mr. Vu and the advisors at IvyPrep, I was able to create an application and personal essay that won over this university.” These were the heartfelt words of Pham Thi Ngan Giang – a petite yet determined young woman who has just earned a 4.5-billion-VND scholarship from one of the top universities in the United States. Giang’s journey was far from easy. As early as Grade 9, she set her sights on studying abroad and laid out a detailed plan for her path: dedicating her entire 10th grade year to extracurricular activities, then pausing in 11th grade to focus fully on SAT, IELTS, and application preparation. During that time, Giang often faced mental pressure and self-doubt. But in the end, her long-cherished dream of studying abroad pushed her to get back up and keep striving. The brightest highlight of Giang’s application was her personal essay. Inspired by a seemingly ordinary moment — when a fortune teller read the lines on her palm and predicted a future full of challenges — she crafted a sincere story about her growth and personal journey. “The teachers at IvyPrep helped me immensely throughout the process — from brainstorming ideas to outlining and polishing an essay I was truly proud of. I received support not only from my Advisors, but even from the Deputy Director and the sales team, who always checked in when I faced difficulties. It made me feel genuinely cared for,” Giang shared. From a girl who once had a “mental breakdown” due to academic pressure, Giang has risen with strength and resilience, becoming a shining example of the power of clear strategy, determination, and a dedicated support team.

6.3B VND Scholarship - Fordham University

🎓 Minh – From Hanoi to Fordham University: Turning Academic Excellence into a Standout Scholarship Journey From the very beginning of high school, Minh demonstrated the qualities of an exceptional student. Maintaining a GPA of 9.5/10 and consistently ranking at the top of his class in grades 10 and 11, Minh also achieved SAT 1500 and IELTS 8.0 on his very first attempt — a solid academic foundation for his dream of studying in the U.S. Yet, what truly set his application apart was not just the numbers, but his relentless drive to push beyond the limits of a typical high school student. Minh began his finance journey by building his own online toy startup, where he learned first-hand how to manage finances and run a business. Passionate about the field, he went further by conducting an in-depth research project on factors driving young people to adopt fintech applications, under the guidance of leading PhD mentors in Vietnam. This project showcased not only his academic rigor but also his perseverance in pursuing long-term goals. Beyond academics, Minh excelled in extracurriculars. As co-founder and head coach of his school’s Debate Club, he organized regular training sessions and led his team to win First Prize at the city level. He also took on leadership roles in major community initiatives such as Vòng Tay Nước Mỹ (Vietnamese Students in the U.S.), The Fire Book, The Cycle Vietnam, and Đồng Hành Nuôi Em. When it came to university selection, Minh and his IvyPrep advisors aimed high, applying to many competitive institutions. However, Fordham University remained his top choice for its renowned finance program and prime location in the heart of New York City — the world’s financial hub. At IvyPrep, Minh received comprehensive guidance on application strategy, profile optimization, and personal essay refinement. Reflecting on his journey, Minh shared: “Thanks to IvyPrep, I learned how to present my strengths persuasively to the admissions committee.” When asked about his key to success, Minh emphasized: “I believe that combining academic excellence with real-world experiences is the key to standing out. The most important thing is to never give up and always be ready to take on challenges.”

Dang Anh Minh

4.3B VND Scholarship - University of Rochester

🎓 Đặng Anh Minh – From Middle School Dreams to a $184,000 Scholarship at University of Rochester Starting his study-abroad journey as early as middle school, Đặng Anh Minh nurtured a clear vision and prepared diligently to pursue his dream of studying in the U.S. His consistent effort paid off when he earned Early Decision offers from three highly competitive universities: University of Massachusetts – Amherst (#67 NU), Southern Methodist University (#72 NU), and University of Rochester (#36 NU). Crowned champion of IvyPrep’s Debate Champion contest, Anh Minh demonstrated exceptional debating skills in English — a standout strength in his application. His academic record was equally impressive, with high TOEFL and SAT scores, complemented by meaningful extracurricular activities. Among them was co-founding the “0 Đồng Library” project, delivering textbooks and children’s books to underprivileged students in mountainous areas such as Sapa and Điện Biên. The most striking element of Anh Minh’s application was his deeply personal and persuasive essay. Before the official admissions round, he had a chance to meet with a University of Rochester admissions representative — a “destined meeting” arranged by IvyPrep. That personal connection, combined with his outstanding profile, helped secure an annual scholarship of $46,000 (equivalent to ~4.3 billion VND for 4 years). For Anh Minh, IvyPrep was more than just an educational service — it was a trusted partner. “Here, I received not only guidance on applications and test prep for TOEFL and SAT, but also valuable personal growth experiences and companions in every community project,” he shared.
